| You know, it's a crazy feeling to be embarking on a journey to the
unknown. I feel a bit like Abraham did, perhaps, leaving
everything behind to follow the call of a God he had never really met
before. It's hard to plan for things when I've never been to the
country, only ever flown twice before...(it was a round trip...to and
fro)...can't seem to remember any of my Spanish verbs, am trying to
navigate on a public transportation system I've never heard of, and
finding a home I've never been to. It's sort of like heaven, I
suppose. I've never been there...but I have clues from my
"Foreign Exchange Advisor", so to speak. Crazy. My visa is
finally in the mail, my plane ticket...the new one I had to buy...is
being confirmed, more money leaping from my pathetic grasp, and I'm
almost ready to leave the country. For three months. With
30 pounds of checked luggage and less in my carry-on. I'm stoked,
but can't help my curiosity. How does this trip of mine work into
the bigger picture? Why did I have trouble with my visa so that
it gave me trouble with my flight schedule, which in turn caused
trouble with my meager bank account? Is it an attack to keep me
from Spain? Or is God simply moving me into the refining fire a
little, and protecting me from the unknown? I wanna see the big
picture!!! *throws small temper tantrum* ;) Oh well,
I press on, eager to see what awaits me in a new time, a new place,
with new people. And when you have a moment...PRAY for me, por
favor!!
